  The turnout might have been a bit lower than expected at the 2015 Home Show this year, but our S.A.F.E. booth sure captured peoples’ attention! Walk-in showers are one one of the most popular pieces to consider during a home modification for the elderly desiring to live in place at the home they’ve resided at for many years.   Communication is Key at S.A.F.E. Signs a Caregiver May be Necessary

In this day in age, there are many options when it comes to senior care. With the booming population of people over the age of 65, more options are not only convenient, but necessary to accommodate everyone and their specific needs. A few of these options come from the different levels of care within senior living communities such as independent, assisted, memory, skilled nursing, hospice and hospice care. Adding to the choices in senior care, each community varies in structure and care methods. Aging in Place at Home Options Many options are available to seniors when it comes to senior living communities, but what about the options when it comes to aging within the home you’ve spent so many years in? One viable and popular option is having a caregiver. Even if the care you or your loved one needs is not extreme, a caregiver can simply assist with daily tasks and reminders. This type of one on one interaction allows someone to grow and develop a strong relationship with a caregiver, creating a family-like environment. This type of environment is different than a senior living community because often times within senior living communities’ staff members and residents are coming and going, making it difficult to build a strong one on one relationship with the residents.
